Jane Lynch and Larry David Also Boarding 'The Three Stooges' Cast

Larry David / Jane Lynch

With writers and directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly finally rounding up Will Sasso, Sean Hayes and most recently Chris Diamantopoulos as The Three Stooges, now the rest of the cast is being filled out and two more names have just entered the mix. Deadline was first to reveal that "Glee" favorite and Christopher Guest collaborator Jane Lynch would join the cast as Mother Superior, who runs the orphanage where the trio grows up, despite her best efforts to get them adopted. Meanwhile EW also learned that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and Whatever Works star Larry David will also have some role in the slapstick comedy.

Ironically enough, it was once thought that Larry David would actually be a great choice to play Larry Fine, the role that eventually went to Sean Hayes. Meanwhile, the role that Lynch is taking was once believed to go to Cher (at least that's who the Farrelly brothers wanted to cast), but I guess her paycheck for Burlesque was enough to keep her happy for awhile. Anyway, David and Lynch join "Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara as the only cast members who aren't part of the titular trio. Surely plenty more cast members will join in the fun. Thoughts?
