We just found out last week that Film District had picked up Rian Johnson's sci-fi action flick Looper starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt for distribution, and now they've decided to pick up the directorial debut from actress Angelina Jolie. The company announced their acquisition of In the Land of Blood and Honey in a press release with the movie slated to hit theaters on December 23rd of this year. The film is set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War in the 90's and illustrates the consequences of the lack of political will to intervene in a society stricken with conflict. Jolie says, "The film is specific to the Bosnian War, but it's also universal." ...
