Fox is Marketing 'X-Men: First Class' By Writing Giant X's in the Sky!

Fox X-Men Logo - Smoke X in Sky

If you live in Southern California and were outside BBQing this fine Memorial Day and just so happened to notice a giant smokey "X" in a circle in the sky, you weren't dreaming, it was actually there. 20th Century Fox, in what I might call a genius/amusing marketing move, has hired planes to fly around and make giant X-Men X's in the sky promoting X-Men: First Class - because they know they can get comic book geeks excited by doing so. And its worked. I've seen tweets and Facebooks and more, all from various people going nuts over a giant X-Men X up in the sky. There's even a YouTube video if you want to watch it. More below! ...

First Full Trailer for Rodriguez's 'Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World'

Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World Trailer

"Hello children, I am a spy." Have fun with this. A new trailer for Robert Rodriguez's Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World has hit the web online, thanks to SpoilerTV (via SlashFilm/Collider). This time, this sequel stars Jessica Alba as the "mom", as well as Antonio Banderas, Danny Trejo, Jeremy Piven, Joel McHale and Ricky Gervais as the voice of Argonaut. This actually looks kind of crazy insane with all the time-keeper effects and giant, cartoony 3D fights everywhere, as we can usually expect when Rodriguez makes kids movies, but I'm still not sure if I even want to see it. Check out the first trailer below. It's in 4D? ...

Tim Burton Says He's Not Going 3D with the 'Dark Shadows' Movie

Tim Burton - Dark Shadows

This is a very interesting decision for Tim Burton to make, but it may payoff in the end. As we've already reported before, Burton recently started shooting his newest film, an adaptation of the classic TV series Dark Shadows, with Johnny Depp starring as Barnabas Collins. While shooting is underway, apparently Burton showed up at the LA County Museum of Art to present an exhibit of his own art, where he gave an interview and a writer for Collider snagged a new quote from Burton about Dark Shadows and 3D. "I have no plans for [3D]. I loved doing Alice in 3D. Frankeweenie, gonna do that in 3D." But not Dark Shadows...

Don't Watch: Teaser Trailer for — Yes It's Real — 'Butterfinger the 13th'

Butterfinger the 13th

Unless this is a twisted viral where in five months we'll all feel Punk'd, it is real and is coming this October. Butterfinger the 13th will be the first-ever film produced not by a major studio or filmmaker, but by one of America's iconic candy brands. "Butterfinger is going where no candy bar has gone before, leaping from the concession stand sidelines to the big screen spotlight." And signed on to make movie-making history with Butterfinger is none other than actor, producer, NY Times best-selling author Rob Lowe." This has me speechless. Um, what? Bloody-Disgusting found a teaser and it's not much, but its got Butterfinger in it. ...

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Poster

It All Ends. So sad, so epic, can't wait, it's almost time! Last week we featured the first gritty, new character poster for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 that Warner Bros has been slowly unveiling on Facebook. We've been following along as more get revealed and at this point, given we're kicking off a new week, I thought it'd be best to collect everything they've revealed so far, though I have a feeling they're going to continue with these for a while since there are so many beloved characters from the Harry Potter universe. Donald Sutherland Elected as President Snow in 'The Hunger Games'

Donald Sutherland / Hunger Games

We'll see him later this summer in the truly hilarious looking comedy Horrible Bosses, but now veteran actor Donald Sutherland has landed himself a role in one of the most high profile adaptations since Harry Potter or Twilight. Today Lionsgate revealed that Sutherland will play President Snow in the anticipated big screen take on Suzanne Collins' best-selling young adult novel The Hunger Games. Snow has been the autocratic ruler of the nation of Panem and its contained districts for some 25 years and with a snake-like appearance, he's cruel and ruthless in his intimidation and control tactics. Sounds like a fun role. ...

First Look: Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand Go 80's for 'Rock of Ages'

Russell Brand and Alec Baldwin

Though in a recent Casting Tidbits, we reported that Alec Baldwin was looking to have himself replaced in the cast of director Adam Shankman's big screen adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages, it looks like he's decided to stick around. How do we know? Well, the director himself recently posted a picture through his Twitter (via JoBlo) of Russell Brand and Baldwin himself all decked out in 80's fashion at some sort of carnival. Honestly, just this quick snapshot has me excited to see how the rest of the cast will look on screen, and really makes me think this is going to be one hell of a fun musical romp. Enjoy! ...

Craig Mazin Already Hired to Script Another Sequel to 'The Hangover'

The Hangover Part 2

After the carbon copy of a sequel raked in nearly $200 million at the box office worldwide, it's not surprise that a follow-up to The Hangover Part II is already being planned. We'd already heard from director Todd Phillips that there had been talk of another sequel in the comedy franchise, but now The Tracking Board (via The Wrap) reports Warner Bros. is looking to have writer Craig Mazin, who wrote the second film with Scot Armstrong, return to script a third adventure for The Wolf Pack. And while we may not know where a third drunken escapade may take place, we may have an idea of how it will end. More below...
