Briefly: It has now been officially confirmed/announced via press release (see ComingSoon) that the titles for the two Hobbit movies from director Peter Jackson will be The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, arriving in theaters on December 14th, 2012, and The Hobbit: There and Back Again, arriving in theaters on December 13th, 2013. The titles and release dates have been confirmed by New Line Cinema, Warner Bros and MGM. Both movies are set in Middle-earth 60 years before J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Fox is Marketing 'X-Men: First Class' By Writing Giant X's in the Sky!

Fox X-Men Logo - Smoke X in Sky

If you live in Southern California and were outside BBQing this fine Memorial Day and just so happened to notice a giant smokey "X" in a circle in the sky, you weren't dreaming, it was actually there. 20th Century Fox, in what I might call a genius/amusing marketing move, has hired planes to fly around and make giant X-Men X's in the sky promoting X-Men: First Class - because they know they can get comic book geeks excited by doing so. And its worked. I've seen tweets and Facebooks and more, all from various people going nuts over a giant X-Men X up in the sky. There's even a YouTube video if you want to watch it. More below! ...

First Full Trailer for Rodriguez's 'Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World'

Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World Trailer

"Hello children, I am a spy." Have fun with this. A new trailer for Robert Rodriguez's Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World has hit the web online, thanks to SpoilerTV (via SlashFilm/Collider). This time, this sequel stars Jessica Alba as the "mom", as well as Antonio Banderas, Danny Trejo, Jeremy Piven, Joel McHale and Ricky Gervais as the voice of Argonaut. This actually looks kind of crazy insane with all the time-keeper effects and giant, cartoony 3D fights everywhere, as we can usually expect when Rodriguez makes kids movies, but I'm still not sure if I even want to see it. Check out the first trailer below. It's in 4D? ...

Tim Burton Says He's Not Going 3D with the 'Dark Shadows' Movie

Tim Burton - Dark Shadows

This is a very interesting decision for Tim Burton to make, but it may payoff in the end. As we've already reported before, Burton recently started shooting his newest film, an adaptation of the classic TV series Dark Shadows, with Johnny Depp starring as Barnabas Collins. While shooting is underway, apparently Burton showed up at the LA County Museum of Art to present an exhibit of his own art, where he gave an interview and a writer for Collider snagged a new quote from Burton about Dark Shadows and 3D. "I have no plans for [3D]. I loved doing Alice in 3D. Frankeweenie, gonna do that in 3D." But not Dark Shadows...

Don't Watch: Teaser Trailer for — Yes It's Real — 'Butterfinger the 13th'

Butterfinger the 13th

Unless this is a twisted viral where in five months we'll all feel Punk'd, it is real and is coming this October. Butterfinger the 13th will be the first-ever film produced not by a major studio or filmmaker, but by one of America's iconic candy brands. "Butterfinger is going where no candy bar has gone before, leaping from the concession stand sidelines to the big screen spotlight." And signed on to make movie-making history with Butterfinger is none other than actor, producer, NY Times best-selling author Rob Lowe." This has me speechless. Um, what? Bloody-Disgusting found a teaser and it's not much, but its got Butterfinger in it. ...
